The aim of this web site is to provide a means by which ex 49ers can re-establish contact with long lost friends from their Boy Entrant days at RAF Hereford May 1963 – Dec 1964.

 

This website has been set up courtesy of Gil Ridley BEM.  Gil was a member of G Flight 2 Sqn 49th Entry and after attending our third reunion in May 2011 at the Hilton Birmingham, he along with his son Ben inaugurated the site. We are most grateful for their contribution to the site.

 

We would also like to invite all Boy Entrants to visit our site and take a trip down memory lane to compare their days at RAF Hereford with ours.

They include extensive coverage of all Entries from 1963 to 1964, including Passing-Out parades, D of E Awards, photographs, sporting achievements and much, much more.

Although this web site has come to fruition through the reunions organised by B and G Flights 2 Sqn, we would like to extend an invitation to everyone who was in 3 and 4 Sqn 49th Entry to join us and help enhance the 49th entry web site.
